Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
Senior Contracts Manager with a minimum of 15 years of experience to manage complex contractual matters for our project in KSA, a world-leading urban development project. This critical role involves establishing and administering commercial agreements across all phases of the project.
Contract Strategy & Formation: Develop and execute comprehensive contracts strategies, including procurement and tendering plans, to align with project objectives and NEOM governance.
Drafting & Negotiation: Lead the drafting, negotiation, and finalization of major contracts (e.g., FIDIC, bespoke agreements) with design consultants, contractors, and key suppliers.
Contract Administration: Oversee all aspects of contract administration from award through closeout, including managing commercial correspondence, bonds, insurance, and performance securities.
Claims & Disputes Management: Proactively identify, analyze, and manage contractual risks, variations, and potential claims. Lead the preparation and defense of claims, engaging with legal counsel as required.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to all contractual obligations, local regulations, and NEOM's internal policies and procedures.
Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary commercial and contractual point of contact, providing expert advice to Project Directors, engineering teams, and executive management.
Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in contracts management, commercial management, or quantity surveying, with demonstrable experience on large-scale infrastructure or mega-projects.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Commercial Management, or a related engineering discipline.
Technical Skills: Deep expertise and practical working knowledge of various contract forms (especially FIDIC), along with excellent negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
Aptitude: Exceptional leadership ability, strong commercial acumen, and the capacity to operate effectively under pressure in a complex, fast-paced international project environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in contracts management, commercial management, or quantity surveying, with demonstrable experience on large-scale infrastructure or mega-projects. Experience in the MENA region is highly valued.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Commercial Management, or a related engineering discipline.
