Senior Cost Engineer

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates and cost plans for all design phases of large-scale projects.br> Develop comprehensive budgets based on project scope and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall project objectives.

• Shall prepare the Design to Budget reports.

• participate in VE exercises.

• Provide benchmark data and comment on the Client s cost management consultant s estimates

• Shall use all reasonable endeavors to ensure that the final cost of the Project at Completion does not exceed the Project budget.

• Provide information to the Client s cost management consultant to assist with the preparation of preliminary, monthly, milestone, and final Project cost plans, and comply with the variation control procedures identified by the Client.

• Shall coordinate, support, and review the value management /br>engineering, lifecycle, and facilities maintenance cost modelling services and deliverables, as performed by the Client s cost management consultant, in conjunction with the other consultants.

What Required Skills You ll Bring:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quantity surveying and cost engineering, within large-scale infrastructure, construction projects.

• Strong experience in cost estimating, budgeting, in complex projects.

• Expertise in construction contracts, including FIDIC, and similar frameworks, and their impact on cost management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions under pressure.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,

• In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, preparing cost plans.

What Desired Skills You ll Bring:

• Certifications: Preferred AACE (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering), MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), or similar certifications.

• Software Skills: Experience with advanced cost software such as CostX, or similar platforms, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
