Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Implement and comply with the company’s Safety Management Plan and environmental standards.
  • Complete maintenance work on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems within the assigned area or as directed by the supervisor.
  • Perform checks and adjustments on mechanical equipment as required, in compliance with company safety standards.
  • Fulfil day/shift duties within a team of Technicians, Craftsmen, and Contractors, including on-the-job training for new Craftsmen as agreed with the Supervisor.
  • Strip down mechanical equipment efficiently, identify and report abnormalities, repair or replace required parts, reassemble equipment, and ensure the working area is left clean.
  • Perform all preventive maintenance (PMs), running inspections, and checklists on a daily basis as per maintenance planning requirements.
  • Attend to equipment breakdowns and planned maintenance work with minimal supervision and within given time constraints to reduce production downtime.
  • Initiate replacement of worn-out or failed components and parts in a safe manner.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to other divisions when required.
  • Monitor repeated breakdowns and take appropriate corrective actions using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ITI / Trade Certificate in Fitting or an equivalent engineering discipline

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a process industry
  • Experience in maintenance of heavy machinery or general fitting within an engineering industry

Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings, service manuals, and job content instructions
  • Knowledge of maintenance and lubrication practices for various equipment
