Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- ETL Design & Implementation
- Design and build ETL templates and pipelines for the Lakehouse environment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Design data ingestion frameworks for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Establish standards for metadata management, data lineage, and schema evolution.
- Implement data transformations to support analytics, machine learning, and reporting.
- Ensure efficient integration across the medallion architecture layers of the Data Lakehouse.
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Work closely with data engineers, BI developers, and data scientists to align ETL processes with business requirements.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and developers.
- Governance & Quality
- Enforce data quality, validation, and reconciliation within ETL workflows.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to guarantee high availability and reliability.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in ETL design and development for large-scale data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Data Lakehouse technologies.
- Proficiency in big data frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Iceberg, Trino, etc.) and ETL orchestration tools (Airflow, Informatica, DataStage, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and scripting languages (Python, Shell Script, etc.).
- Solid understanding of data modeling (dimensional, relational, and schema-on-read approaches).
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering/ETL, with at least 3 years in a senior developer role.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
