Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Kubernetes Operations Engineer to support multiple strategic projects within the organization. This role combines DevOps practices with deep platform-level Kubernetes operations, ensuring reliable, automated, secure, and scalable environments for modern cloud-native applications.

The engineer will help design, automate, and maintain the Kubernetes ecosystem, build and improve CI/CD and GitOps workflows. The role also includes scripting, troubleshooting, and maintaining integrations that run on or interact with Kubernetes.

Core Responsibilities

Kubernetes Operations & Platform Ownership

  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments, ensuring stability, performance, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cluster-level, node-level, and workload-level issues.
  • Work with workloads and services that integrate deeply with Kubernetes (operators, controllers, sidecars, monitoring agents, etc.).
  • Implement and maintain GitOps-based workflows using Argo CD.
  • Manage application packaging and deployment using Helm charts.

Automation & Scripting

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell and Bash/Python scripts to automate Kubernetes operations, cluster maintenance, and daily routine tasks.

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Define branching strategies, approval flows, and automated deployments to Kubernetes environments.
  • Integrate quality, security, and compliance checks into the build and deployment process.

Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate and adopt modern Kubernetes tools, patterns, and techniques.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on DevOps, cloud, automation, and container technologies.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 5 years of hands-on DevOps or Kubernetes engineering experience.
  • Strong experience operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD.
  • Experience with Helm, Docker/Containerd, and containerized application management.
  • Practical experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience in version control using GitHub, GitLab, or Azure Repos.
  • Experience with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Strong scripting experience (PowerShell).
  • Awareness of security best practices for cloud-native and DevOps environments.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
