Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
A Senior Digital Media Planner is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing digital media strategies across multiple channels to achieve brand and performance goals. They analyze audience insights, manage budgets, coordinate with internal teams and external agencies, and ensure campaigns deliver strong ROI and meet KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Media Strategy & Planning
Develop comprehensive digital media plans across channels (Social, Display, Programmatic, Search, Video, etc.).
Identify target audiences based on market data, analytics, and consumer insights.
Recommend budget allocations and channel mix to maximize campaign performance.
Build data-driven media strategies aligned with brand and business objectives.
Campaign Management
Oversee end-to-end execution of campaigns with agencies, partners, and internal teams.
Manage timelines, deliverables, and performance benchmarks.
Ensure campaigns go live accurately and on schedule.
Performance Optimization
Review campaign data daily/weekly to optimize towards KPIs (CTR, CPA, ROAS, CPM, Conversions).
Test and refine audiences, creatives, placements, and bidding strategies.
Identify opportunities for scaling or reallocation of budgets.
Analytics & Reporting
Build post-campaign performance reports (PPT/Excel dashboards).
Translate complex data into easy-to-understand insights and recommendations.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and platform updates.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Collaborate with creative teams, account managers, and brand managers.
Manage relationships with media vendors, publishers, and technology platforms.
Negotiate rates, added value, and partnership opportunities.
Tools & Platforms
Work with ad platforms like Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, DV360, TikTok Ads, Snapchat Ads, LinkedIn Ads.
Familiar with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Data Studio, Adobe Analytics).
Use media planning tools (e.g., GWI, SimilarWeb, Comscore).
job requirements:
3 5 years of experience in digital media planning, buying, or performance marketing.
Proven experience managing multi-channel digital campaigns (Social, Search, Display, Programmatic, Video).
Agency experience is a plus (or required depending on company).
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Deep understanding of digital media channels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
