Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead the drafting team in preparing high-quality design and fabrication drawings to meet project requirements. Supervise and review work of junior draftsmen to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to resolve technical issues. Represent the engineering department during audits and technical reviews. Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation for technical records and certification submissions. Ensure effective drawing revision control and data management. Provide guidance to production by reviewing fabrication processes and making drawings more user-friendly. Support proposal and marketing teams with technical drawings as required. Drive compliance with QHSE and API Q1 standards within drafting activities.

Desired Candidate Profile


Knowledge & Education:

Diploma or College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field. Strong knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, and manufacturing processes. Highly proficient in Autodesk Inventor (5+ years). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Familiarity with raw material standards and grades. Knowledgeable in API Q1 10th Edition & ISO management systems.


Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience as senior draftsman.


Skill Requirements:

A good Team Player and Motivated. Good knowledge on Design, Manufacturing, welding & machining process is a must. Highly Proficient in Autodesk Inventor 2025 or newer with min. 5 years’ experience Excellent data/file management skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel) Proficient in English both written and oral. Sound knowledge of fabrication, fabrication and machine processes and standards. Competence in 3D modeling and generating production drawings from models is mandatory.

Knowledgeable in API Q1 10th Edition & ISO management systems. Drafting experience within the Oil & Gas Sector. Proficient knowledge of raw material standards and grades. Technical Knowledge.
