Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation of fire and gas detection devices, field instruments, control panels, and electrical components.
- Lead and supervise technicians in cable routing, cable tray installation, cable pulling, dressing, termination, and panel wiring.
- Review construction drawings, wiring diagrams, data sheets, and vendor documentation to ensure accurate implementation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, electrical codes, and safety requirements during construction activities.
- Conduct site inspections, verify workmanship quality, and ensure all work aligns with approved IFC drawings.
- Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues related to fire & gas systems and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure smooth workflow and problem resolution.
- Monitor progress, prepare daily/weekly reports, and provide timely updates on construction status and resource needs.
- Support testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for fire & gas and electrical systems.
- Ensure proper documentation, including test sheets, redline drawings, material tracking, and installation checklists.
- Identify risks, enforce safety measures, and promote safe work practices among technicians and subcontractors.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering.
4 6 years of experience in electrical construction (aligning with your Senior level: 4 6 years).
Strong experience in fire and gas detection system installation and electrical construction activities.
Knowledge of NFPA, IEC standards, and oil & gas construction requirements.
Experience leading teams of technicians at site.
Proficiency in reading drawings, wiring diagrams, and site documentation.
