Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a complete design package for tender process including preparation of design electrical drawings (Power, lighting, lighting control, ELV systems, installation details, earthing and lightning protection) in coordination with other trades.
  • Indoor and outdoor lighting design, distribution and calculation using DIALUX software as per the relevant codes and building requirements.
  • Preparation of Panel Board Schedules, MCC, calculations sheets, Load estimations, cables tables, equipment schedules as per the relevant codes and building requirements.
  • Substations builder work, equipment arrangement and cable routing design.
  • Evaluating project requirements and proposing innovative design alternatives to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Supervise, lead and train junior engineers to ensure their technical development goals are met.
  • Voltage Drop and Short Circuit calculations manually and using ETAP and ECODIAL.
  • Preparation and development of Electrical and ELV specifications, and conduct design reports.
  • Preparation and development of projects OPR and BODR.
  • Risk assessment and calculations for Lightning protection and Earthing.
  • Low and Medium Voltage infrastructure networks design including Internal and external layouts, wiring diagrams, power riser, single line diagram.
  • Interpret engineering drawings for control panels and LV panels.
  • Extra low voltage systems design including but not limited to: Structure cabling, Fire alarm, CCTV, Wi Fi, Access, TV, Telephone, Sound, Intercom, Triple play, BMS, Fiber Optics telecommunications systems, PAVA etc
  • Review Shop drawings and As-built drawings.
  • Interpret Catalogs, design brief and criteria, installation manuals and datasheets.
  • Review of vendor drawings, inspection considering testing of vendor's works and as built drawings.
  • Review of technical, financial offers, suppliers technical submittals, equipment manuals in accordance with the electrical design package.
  • Preparation of bill of quantities, ensuring the consistency of BOQ with specifications.
  • Analyzing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the technical office engineers to make sure the technical documents are being prepared with the highest quality.
  • Interacting with the Management & Contractors / Supervisors for the quality and service problems.
  • Liaise with electrical authorities for the approval of service connection.

Desired Candidate Profile

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering power and machines major.
  • Excellent knowledge of international codes and standards, Saudi Arabian electrical and Civil Defense standards is a plus .
  • 5-7 years of Proven experience in electrical systems design and project management.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Proficiency in using Dialux and ETAP softwares.
  • Good command of Revit MEP Software.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent English Language spoken and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with value engineering concepts and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
