Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security systems, and other specialized electrical installations for building projects./li> li>Prepare detailed electrical drawings and schematics, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and regulations./li> li>Specify materials and components, including cables, transformers, panels, and switchgear./li> li>Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the building design./li> li>Conduct site assessments to understand project requirements and constraints./li> li>Work closely with contractors and other teams during construction and installation to ensure designs are properly implemented./li> li>Assist with project planning, budgeting, and scheduling./li> li>Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases./li> li>Perform electrical load calculations and energy analysis to optimize design efficiency and cost-effectiveness./li> li>Ensure all designs meet local codes, standards (such as IEC, NEC), and client specifications./li> li>Conduct regular design reviews and ensure designs comply with environmental and safety regulations./li> li>Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure designs remain cutting-edge and compliant./li> li>Resolve any electrical design-related issues that arise during construction or operation./li> li>Offer solutions to challenges in electrical system integration, functionality, or cost efficiency./li> /ul> br> b>Why choose AtkinsR alis/b> br> ul> li>Your difference makes a difference. Desired Candidate Profile

p>Current valid Grade A UDPA/MMUP Certification is essential/p> p>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field./p> p>Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design engineering, specifically within the building services sector./p> p>Strong knowledge of electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, or similar tools)./p> p>Familiarity with building regulations, safety standards, and electrical codes (NEC, BS7671, etc.)./p> p>Previous experience with entertainment projects is essential./p> p>Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, emergency systems, and renewable energy integration./p> p>Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams./p> p>Professional accreditation or membership (e.g., IET, CIBSE, or equivalent) is a plus./p> br> b>Desired Skills:/b> br> ul> li>Conversant with all Revit onboard tools, preferably experienced in the use of Revit as a Design Tool./li> li>Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable electrical systems./li> li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail./li> li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines/li> /ul> br>
