Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Electrical Engineer manages site electrical works on construction projects, overseeing LV/ELV installation, commissioning, and authority approvals. This role provides technical leadership to the electrical site team and subcontractors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all on-site electrical installation works including LV power, lighting, containment, earthing, and ELV systems.

  • Review and interpret electrical shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.

  • Coordinate electrical works with other MEP disciplines to prevent clashes and ensure programme compliance.

  • Manage electrical subcontractors, monitoring quality, progress, and safety compliance.

  • Prepare and track electrical submittals, RFIs, and technical queries.

  • Witness and supervise electrical testing and commissioning activities.

  • Liaise with DEWA/SEWA for inspections, approvals, and energization.

  • Prepare electrical progress reports and contribute to project reporting.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • 8–13 years of electrical MEP site experience with a Tier 1 UAE MEP contractor.

  • 2–5 years on villa/building construction projects in the UAE.

  • Strong knowledge of UAE electrical standards, DEWA/SEWA regulations, and LV/ELV systems.

  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multi-discipline MEP works.
