Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design review, planning, and execution of electrical systems for high-rise residential and commercial projects.

  2. Manage and coordinate all electrical activities in line with project specifications, timelines, and budget.

  3. Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.

  4. Coordinate with mechanical, civil, architectural, and other disciplines to ensure seamless MEP integration.

  5. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and standards.

  6. Monitor project progress and prepare weekly/monthly reports.

  7. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

  8. Handle authority submissions, approvals, and inspections from DEWA, DCD, Empower, DM, and other UAE authorities.

  9. Identify technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.

Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, demonstrating a strong foundation in electrical principles.
  • Holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license, showcasing a commitment to professional practice and ethical conduct, with the ability to stamp engineering documents.
  • Certified in relevant areas such as power systems, or project management, enhancing expertise and demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Demonstrates experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power Generation industry, showcasing industry-specific knowledge and expertise.
  • Exhibits fluency in English, both written and spoken, facilitating effective communication with international teams and clients.
  • Possesses strong technical skills in power system design, analysis, and simulation software (e.g., ETAP, SKM), and control systems.
  • Displays excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, enabling effective troubleshooting and decision-making.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines, with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, facilitating effective collaboration and team management.
