Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead complex electrical installations, ensuring adherence to blueprints, codes, and safety regulations, providing expert guidance to junior team members.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose intricate electrical system malfunctions, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to pinpoint and rectify issues efficiently.
- Oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, material procurement, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, identifying potential hazards and implementing proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications with precision, translating them into practical electrical solutions, and mentoring others in this skill.
- Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices, sharing knowledge, providing hands-on training, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Coordinate with other trades and contractors on construction sites, ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems with other building systems and components.
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress, maintenance activities, and safety inspections, documenting findings and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in electrical technology and industry best practices, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent, providing a foundational understanding of technical concepts.
- Holds a valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license, demonstrating the required competency and expertise.
- Demonstrates experience working in the construction or industrial sector, reflecting familiarity with diverse electrical systems and applications.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, enabling accurate and efficient work.
- Displays excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, able to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues effectively.
- Exhibits physical stamina and dexterity, capable of performing tasks requiring bending, lifting, and working in various environments.
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
