Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Leads the ELT instructional quality program through planning, execution, and reporting of course and instructor assessments. Supervises and develops ELW instructional staff to maintain performance standards. Serves as the primary liaison to the ELT Manager to align pedagogy and curriculum. Ensures training and documentation comply with Aviation Institute and MNG AVN Institute ELW SOPs, EMS SOPs, and the contract Performance Work Statement (PWS), with measurable results in student achievement (ALCPT/CEFR targets), instructor evaluation scores, and audit readiness.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, English, or a related field; TEFL/TESL/TESOL/CELTA (120 hours, observed practicum).

Experience: 5+ years full-time adult ELT/ESL/EFL teaching, including 2+ years leading or conducting instructor observations/evaluations or coaching.

Instructional Quality & PD: Demonstrated ability to plan and run instructor evaluation cycles, write actionable feedback, and design/deliver professional development aligned to program goals.

Assessment Literacy: Working knowledge of language testing principles (reliability/validity, rubrics), classroom assessment, and test security/proctor coordination.

Curriculum & ID: Practical experience with instructional design and materials development for EFL/ESP contexts (preferably technical/vocational or aviation-adjacent).

Data & Reporting: Ability to analyze instructor and student performance trends and produce concise reports/recommendations for leadership.

Systems & Tools: Proficiency with LMS (e.g., Moodle), productivity suites, and basic EMS/SOP documentation; comfortable maintaining evaluation schedules, artifacts, and audit trails.

Communication & Stakeholders: Excellent written and verbal English; able to liaise across departments (testing, HR/recruiting, training management) and work effectively with multinational military counterparts.

Professional Conduct: Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of student/instructor data and comply with institutional SOPs and contract (PWS) requirements.

Work Conditions: Ability to work independently and as part of a team; adapt to schedule needs supporting evaluations, PD, and testing operations.
