Senior Engineer (Traffic signs & Road Markings) TRANS SKILLS EMPLOYMENT SERVICES - SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP L.L.C.

The main objective of the job is to study engineering designs for road signs, traffic signs, ground markings, and advertising sign locations. The role also involves supervising their implementation with all relevant parties to improve accessibility and enhance integration between modes of transportation by providing traffic control and transportation means in the Emirate.

The senior engineer is also responsible for preparing, reviewing, and updating technical engineering policies and manuals related to traffic, directional, and advertising signs, as well as ground markings.

They must also ensure that the designs of road projects are compatible with the manuals and policies followed by the client.

The senior engineer must review and study all types of traffic diversions, including engineering plans for design and implementation of road and directional signs and ground markings. This is done through related electronic systems.

They also review temporary directional and traffic signs and conduct field visits for major diversions to ensure that plans and specifications are applied at the work site.

They must also study the engineering and technical details of traffic and directional signs, ground markings, and house and street numbering signs, including the appearance of the signs and their structural frameworks. This includes measurements and materials to ensure the application of client's specifications and standards.

The senior engineer will study the outputs of traffic impact studies to apply technical standards and specifications related to traffic and directional signs and ground markings.

The job also entails reviewing, studying, and issuing No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for traffic and advertising signs through the electronic NOC system.

Other responsibilities include participating in the development of innovative solutions for sustainable mobility , and participating in various internal and external committees and following up on their decisions.

The senior engineer will measure key performance indicators for the section and develop improvement procedures related to the directional and traffic signs system. They will also participate in the development of operations and related work plans and respond to internal audit notes.

They also participate in studying the qualification of consulting engineers and contractors working in the field of traffic and directional signs, and follow up and evaluate their work.

The senior engineer sets engineering and technical specifications for materials used and gives necessary approvals during the implementation phase. They also supervise and audit the quality of work.

The senior engineer will study engineering plans for traffic signs, directional signs, and ground markings for client’s road projects and private projects, in addition to bicycle paths and flexible mobility areas.

The job also involves studying the update of the general and detailed plan for applying the comprehensive addressing system in the Emirate of Dubai.

The senior engineer will also study and review requests for issuing and renewing supplementary directional and advertising sign permits through related electronic systems.

They must also comply with client policies regarding partners, customers, suppliers, and employees.

The senior engineer is required to strictly adhere to the client's information security policies, procedures, and operations. They must also accurately follow information security data sharing guidelines for all internal and external data transfers.
