Job Title: Senior Environment Engineer
Location: Qatar
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with environmental laws, permits, and project requirements
Promote environmental awareness and responsible practices across project sites
Identify and assess environmental risks related to emissions, effluents, waste, and spills
Collect, analyze, and trend environmental monitoring data to ensure compliance
Review and provide feedback on contractor environmental and HSE procedures
Coordinate and participate in environmental campaigns such as waste segregation and spill prevention
Support project HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
Maintain environmental documentation including permits, inspection reports, and monitoring logs
Prepare environmental compliance and performance reports for management and stakeholders
Participate in engineering and risk reviews, including QRA, HAZID, HAZOP, and EIA
Support contractors in obtaining and complying with environmental permits
Ensure full adherence to Integrated Management Systems and HSEQ regulations
Requirements (Core):
Bachelor s Degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline
Professional environmental or HSE certification is required
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with 3 5 years in major projects
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance systems
Experience working with EPCC contractors on large-scale projects
Strong reporting, inspection, and stakeholder coordination skills
