Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of accurate and competitive fire protection system estimates for oil and gas projects, including conceptual, FEED, and detailed design stages.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project specifications, drawings, and other technical documentation to identify scope, requirements, and potential risks.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for fire protection systems, encompassing equipment, materials, labor, and associated costs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive bid packages, including cost breakdowns, technical clarifications, and commercial proposals, to clients.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize designs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure project feasibility.
  • Manage and mentor junior estimators, providing guidance and support in the estimation process.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in fire protection system design, estimation, and project execution within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, API, IBC).
  • Proficiency in fire protection system design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, hydraulic modeling software) and estimation tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel).
  • In-depth knowledge of fire protection systems, including water-based, foam, gas suppression, and detection systems.
