Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex civil engineering projects, ensuring all project aspects are considered.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify potential risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data, clarify project scope, and develop comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, utilizing relevant software and tools, to accurately determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.

  • Hold relevant professional certifications such as a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or a similar credential.

  • Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering estimating, with a focus on large-scale projects.

  • Exhibit a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
