Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure that all plant and equipment under his control are operated in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure that all instructions are carried out promptly and efficiently. Record routine parameter readings on regular basis and report deviations. Inform the Supervisor (or) control room of any abnormalities/problems on equipment Ensure standby equipment is readily available for service in an emergency. Assist in carrying out routine testing/re-commissioning of plant after maintenance outages. Adopt safe working practices to ensure personal and plant safety. Identify hazards and participate effectively in reporting system. Maintain good standards of housekeeping. Must be fully conversant with all emergency procedures related to the equipment in his designated area of responsibility Carry out on the job training Strive to achieve increased competency Jebel Ali Site, additional roles Operator Turbine & Boiler Assistant Operator At Jebel Ali Site, for the roles of Operator Turbine & Boiler and Assistant Operator, the above accountabilities will be restricted to Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, associated plant equipment and related utilities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications: Higher Secondary School Certificate Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as fully competent Senior Operator Power including 1 year experience in the Desal Control Room. Completing basic maintenance training. Permit to Work (PTW) system training. Skills: Basic technical knowledge of the thermal desalination process. Achieved competencies in all areas. Good reading, writing and speaking skills in English language. The job holder should have numerate and writing skills that will enable him to prepare and complete production and shift reports in the English language. He must be able to carry out basic calculations (e.g. concentration, percentage, unit conversion, rate etc.). He must be able to understand single line diagram. Commencing HNC Programme via DUBAL Open Learning Centre. IT competent and basic MS Word & Excel. Problem solving skills. Planning and organising skills. Communication and presentation skills. Interpersonal skills Teamwork skills.
