Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Forecasting, Budgeting, and Planning
- Lead the coordination and execution of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly rolling forecasts.
- Maintain and improve complex three-statement financial models (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to support long-term strategic planning.
- Collaborate with department heads to build bottoms-up budgets and track headcount planning.
2. Variance Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors, including P&L analysis and KPI tracking.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget vs. Forecast), identifying key drivers of financial performance and proposing corrective actions.
- Automate and streamline reporting processes to improve speed and accuracy of financial data.
3. Strategic Decision Support
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis for special projects, including ROI analysis for capital investments, new product launches, or market expansion.
- Analyze trends in revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), and operating expenses to identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost savings.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives for non-finance stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: 3 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Investment Banking.
Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Excel (Index/Match, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, VBA macros are a plus) and PowerPoint.
Modeling: Proven ability to build dynamic, integrated financial models from scratch.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to leadership.
Systems: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Corporate Performance Management tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Host Analytics).
Data Visualization: Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
SQL: Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for data querying is a strong differentiator.
Analytical Rigor: Ability to peel back the layers of data to understand the "why" behind the numbers.
Attention to Detail: Precision in reporting and data integrity is non-negotiable.
Autonomy: Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
