Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Roles:

4Monitor the daily ledgers in the countries to ensure accuracy & correctness.
4Follow up & monitor the key changes in assets, liabilities, and Income statement on the daily control reports.
4Matching the ledgers of Vostro and Nostro and checking the outstanding transactions of foreign accounts
4reconcile contra accounts and follow up on the discrepancies if any to insure the accuracy of accounts on the daily control reports.
4Daily monitor for any manual transaction, differences in balances, system rejected entries , unclassified accounts , unused internal accounts.
4Check the ledger consolidation process is done accurately on country level.
4Prepare commentary or explanations of certain ledgers and key changes, upon request.
4Ensure that expenses are allocated & reflected in accordance with P&P and the local requirements.
4IFRS 16 - Leasing requirements and calculation of ROU.
4Following up on active projects, confirmations on closed projects and reconciliations with proper amortization
4Monitor daily expenses transactions in branches & H.O, ensuring its within limits set and as per P&Ps.
4Review the accruals and prepaid expenses stationary, other assets and other liabilities account on periodical basis and take appropriate corrective measures when necessary.
4Review the Fixed Assets system and related depreciation in accordance with P&Ps.
4Follow up / Ensure the timely settlement of outstanding amounts.
4Prepare end of month closing process, and ensure the key components of the financial statement are recorded properly to ensure it is done accurately on country level, and on segmented level.
4Providing the external/internal audit, Central Bank and the regulator (Tax) inspectors requirements related to the Control and Reconciliation section.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.

Experience: 5 years experience in Accounting, preferable auditing experience from a Leading International Regional Bank, and good experience in MIS projects management.

Competencies:

  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
  • Strong analytical & numerical skills .
  • Good understanding of Internal and Central Bank work procedures.
  • Full knowledge of country regulations .
  • Team building and team player.
