Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible to plan, organize and directly supervise the execution of Electrical activities onboard / Workshop and ensuring safety, quality, productivity and schedule aspects are met. Support supervisors in ensuring optimum use of manpower and resources available and complete jobs according to the schedule.
Day-to-day operations:
Read specifications, work list and pre-planning job (Sequence of job, manpower, equipment).
Planning and monitoring work progress on a daily basis.
Co-ordinating work progress with Project Managers and other Departments.
Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards.
Identifying and assigning competent personnel for specific jobs.
Handling a team of electrical personnel.
Ensure Management System records belonging to their area of operation are produced and stored as necessary.
Stop processes if they do not meet specified requirements, and raise Reject and Non Conformity Reports.
Approve electrical jobs completed are in accordance with company’s quality standards
Approving requisitions for stock items.
Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
Liaise with other discipline Foremen / Supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with
the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the
Desired Candidate Profile
Possesses a Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, demonstrating a solid foundation in electrical principles.
7-10 Years experience in Marine, Heavy fabrication, Shipyard experience.
