Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise all sections within the yard, ensuring efficient and effective processing operations.
  • Oversee the work of section foremen, providing guidance and support.
  • Review and sign scale tickets to ensure accuracy of material weight, grade, and deductions.
  • Ensure tasks are completed according to established procedures and operational standards.
  • Coordinate with the yard operations team to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure adherence to HSE protocols and regulations.
  • Foster a safe work environment by ensuring team compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Set daily production targets for yard sections and monitor progress.
  • Manage resources effectively to optimize production while maintaining operational efficiency and quality.
  • Supervise and monitor the grading of materials, ensuring accurate sorting and processing.
  • Address material discrepancies or issues related to grading and deductions with the processing supervisor.
  • Oversee housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized yard.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to quality control standards in processing operations to deliver high-quality output.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses Industrial Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
  • Holds relevant certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing, demonstrating a commitment to process improvement.
  • Offers a minimum with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and managing a team.
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Has experience working in a multinational environment, with proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Shows a strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
