Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of major frontend initiatives and complex features using React and TypeScript.
Design and advocate for significant architectural decisions within the frontend domain, ensuring alignment with overall system architecture and best practices.
Set and enforce high coding standards, best practices, and engineering principles across the team, leading by example in writing exemplary code.
Mentor and coach Frontend Engineer I and II colleagues, providing deep technical guidance, fostering their growth, and leading technical discussions.
Solve highly complex, ambiguous, and strategic technical challenges that have a broad impact on the product or engineering organization.
Collaborate extensively with product managers, UX/UI designers,backend engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, and deliver robust, integrated solutions.
Identify and address critical performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and accessibility concerns in frontend applications.
Proactively identify, prioritize, and lead efforts to address technical debt.
Research, evaluate, and propose new technologies and tools to improve the frontend stack and development processes.
Act as a primary point of contact for complex frontend-related incidents, leading diagnosis and resolution.
Clearly and regularly communicate complex technical designs and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
BS/BA, MS or PhD equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Deep expertise and extensive experience in strong>React / Redux/strong> (or similar state management) and its ecosystem.
Expert knowledge and experience in strong>HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript/strong>.
Excellent experience using CSS Preprocessors (e.g., SASS/PostCSS) and understanding of theming/design systems.
Excellent knowledge and experience in strong>RESTful APIs/strong>.
Excellent troubleshooting skills, including solving multi-browser compatibility, performance, and complex debugging issues.
Expert understanding of the web development cycle, encompassing design, development, testing, and deployment.
Extensive experience with responsive and adaptive design and accessibility best practices.
Solid understanding of UNIX/Linux environments and scripting.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Network Programming, and Operating Systems, particularly as they relate to web performance and security.
Deep knowledge of Application Security (TLS/SSL/HTTPS) and common web vulnerabilities.
Extensive experience in strong>Git/strong>, including advanced branching and merging strategies.
Strong experience in strong>Docker/strong> for local development and deployment environments.
Excellent command of strong>Python / Django/strong> is a significant plus, demonstrating strong full-stack awareness.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with strong>Kubernetes/strong> deployments from a developer's perspective.
