Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and post journal entries, vendor/customer invoices, and payroll-related records
  • Conduct monthly and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure proper documentation for purchases, sales, payments, and tax compliance
  • Reconcile sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts on a regular basis
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up to ensure timely settlement
  • Support in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial projections
  • Prepare statutory tax filings (VAT, WHT, etc.) and assist with audits
  • Maintain and archive accurate accounting and tax documentation
  • Suggest improvements to accounting workflows and internal controls

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of experience in general accounting or related roles
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and Egyptian tax regulations
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient in ERP systems (preferably Odoo), Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is a must
  • Familiarity with AR/AP cycles, payroll entries, and financial reporting
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and meet strict deadlines
