Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Layout & Piping discipline for large-scale EPC projects across oil & gas, refinery, and petrochemical sectors
Drive end-to-end project delivery ensuring quality, schedule adherence, cost control, and technical integrity
Oversee execution of multiple brownfield and greenfield projects simultaneously
Manage and mentor a large team of 150–200 engineers and designers, ensuring high performance and engagement
Develop and implement resource planning strategies, including hiring, competency development, and succession planning
Establish and monitor discipline KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement, operational excellence, and process optimization
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Project Directors, Engineering Managers, Global Teams) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, vendors)
Review and approve engineering deliverables, technical solutions, and project proposals
Drive digitalization initiatives and innovative engineering practices within the discipline
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality systems
Contribute to business growth and future readiness, including energy transition projects (Hydrogen, CCUS, etc.)
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
22+ years of experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical EPC projects
Proven track record of leading large-scale engineering teams (150+ members)
Strong experience in managing multiple mega projects simultaneously
Deep expertise in Layout & Piping engineering and discipline management
Hands-on experience in brownfield and greenfield project execution
Strong understanding of project delivery, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control
Demonstrated ability in talent development, team building, and stakeholder management
Exposure to digital engineering tools (SP3D, PDMS, E3D) and process optimization
Experience or awareness of energy transition projects (Green Hydrogen, CCUS, etc.) is an added advantage
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
