Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities
Maintain the integrity and quality of geological databases.
Act as ambassador for the geological database, hold accountability and ownership for any data that would be shared with the external consultants and the various stakeholders.
Validate, edit, and manipulate geological data as it pertains to the database.
Manage and oversee the collection, integration, storage, and export of geological data from various sources, ensuring data integrity, consistency, accessibility, and compliance with the acQuire Data Model and implemented workflow.
Provide valid geological information as an input into geological and resource modelling
Collaborate with mine, resource and project geologists and support the mineral resource estimation process.
Perform check on QA/QC of assays certificates in timely manner and communicate regularly with labs.
Stay updated with industry advancements, best practices, and apply them to improve database management utilization and integration.
Follow and adhere to Ma aden Operational, Confidentiality, Environmental, Health and Safety Policies and Standards at all times.

Skills:
Good working knowledge of relational databases, technology and industry standards and best practices regarding the collection, storage and security of data.
Computer literacy in Office suites including MS Project and Team as well as mining software, GEOVIA Surpac and Leapfrog.
Advanced skills in data management, validation and data security.
Solid background in handling and analyzing geological data and automated geological data workflow.
Familiar with mineral resource estimation processes and the international reporting codes and standards of exploration results, mineral resources and ore reserves.
Good understanding of business processes and value chain.
Familiar with Quality control & Quality Assurance (QAQC) protocols and data analysis.
Good Knowledge in well-known geological database packages such as acQuire, Datashed, Datamine Fusion, acQuire is an asset.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology.
Minimum Experience:
4-6 years mining industry experience with exposure to both exploration and operating mines databases.
