Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and participate in the execution of Permit to Work (PTW) activities
  • Ensure ASSIH safety for both personnel and property.
  • Deliver HSE training programs to maintain safety awareness among ASSIH employees and contractors, including:
  • Fire Marshal / Safety Warden / HSE Officer Training
  • Basic & Advanced Safety Induction
  • Tool Box Talk (TBT)
  • On Job Training (OJT)
  • Follow HSE procedures and work instructions
  • Participate in incident investigations.
  • Update the HSE statistics tracking system to comply with legal requirements.
  • Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all site employees.
  • Prepare and submit HSE reports (annually, semi-annually, and monthly).
  • Carry out risk assessments and consider ways to minimize or eliminate risks.
  • Follow up on operational procedures to ensure all relevant hazards are identified and addressed.
  • Handle normal to high HSE risks encountered in assigned areas, including:
  • Workshops and operations
  • Maintenance facilities and shops
  • Administrative areas
  • Warehouses
  • Construction and renovation sites
  • Conduct formal investigations of reportable and non-reportable incidents, including:
  • Personal injury accidents
  • Property damage
  • Occupational illnesses
  • Gather and document evidence during incident investigations by:
  • Obtaining witness statements
  • Photographing the mishap scene
  • Recording circumstances and extent of injuries
  • Estimating cost of property damage
  • Preparing formal investigation reports

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Specialist certification from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSE) is mandatory.
  • 3 5 years of experience in the HSE field (preferably in healthcare or hospitals).
  • Government training in OSHA governance and occupational health.
