Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the complete HVAC design process, from concept to construction documents, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform detailed load calculations and system simulations using advanced software to optimize energy efficiency and performance of HVAC systems.
  • Develop and review HVAC system designs, including layouts, schematics, and specifications for various building types, focusing on innovative and sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into overall building designs.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing HVAC systems, identify issues, and provide recommendations for improvements or retrofits.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating complex design concepts.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering their professional development within the HVAC design field.
  • Stay abreast of the latest HVAC technologies, codes, and regulations, incorporating best practices into design solutions.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
  • Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases, resolving any issues that arise and ensuring proper system functionality.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Obtain relevant certifications such as LEED AP, ASHRAE certifications, or other industry-recognized credentials.

  • Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, showcasing a commitment to professional standards and ethical practices.

  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles.
