Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Support Engineer will be responsible for managing enterprise-level AIXIBM and Unix and Windows infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, operational excellence, and the ability to independently manage complex data center environments.

Key Technical Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in enterprise-level Windows/Unix infrastructure and operating system support.
  • Strong expertise in AIXIBM and Linux environments with the ability to independently manage AIX/Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience in OS installation, configuration, recovery, troubleshooting, backup & restore, and version upgrades.
  • Excellent understanding of end-to-end server platform architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of data center environments, infrastructure setup, and operations.
  • Good understanding of firewall rules aligned with application requirements, including NAT configurations (hands-on not mandatory).
  • Professional certifications in Unix/AIX/Linux platforms (mandatory).
  • Good understanding of database concepts with the ability to perform basic administration tasks.
  • Hands-on knowledge of tape-based backup infrastructure and disaster recovery processes.
  • Ability to perform scripting (Shell/Python or similar) to automate routine operational tasks.
