Role Overview The Senior Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization s core IT ecosystem. This includes physical hardware, virtualized environments, cloud platforms, and networking stacks. You will ensure 99.9% availability of services while leading automation initiatives to reduce manual intervention and improve scalability. Key Responsibilities 1. Infrastructure Design & Administration Design and manage high-availability server environments (Windows/Linux) using VMware. Oversee cloud infrastructure (Azure), focusing on cost optimization and resource scaling. Maintain and optimize storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and backup/disaster recovery protocols (Veeam, Azure Site Recovery). 2. Network & Security Operations Manage enterprise networking equipment, including firewalls (FortiGate), switches (VLAN tagging), and SD-WAN configurations. Implement and monitor security protocols, including MFA, VPNs, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems. 3. Automation & Efficiency Develop PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks in Active Directory, Office 365, and server provisioning. 4. Asset & Lifecycle Management Supervise the lifecycle of all IT assets (from procurement to disposal) within tools like ManageEngine Asset Manager . Maintain accurate documentation of network topologies, hardware inventories, and SOPs. 5. Leadership & Mentorship Act as the Tier 2 escalation point for complex technical issues. Mentor junior system administrators and provide technical guidance on internal projects.
