SENIOR INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER Duncan & Ross

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the preparation, review, and approval of all instrumentation engineering deliverables, including datasheets, specifications, layouts, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, I/O lists, and cable schedules.
• Develop and review project-specific instrumentation design philosophies, standards, and procedures in line with client and industry requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, ISA, API).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (process, mechanical, electrical, control systems, piping, and civil) to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems.
• Review vendor documentation for instrumentation packages, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct technical evaluations, clarifications, and vendor bid assessments for instrumentation equipment and systems.
• Manage and guide junior instrumentation engineers and designers, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely completion of work.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, SIL studies, and constructability assessments.
• Support procurement activities, including technical bid evaluations and vendor selection.
• Ensure instrumentation deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Provide technical support during project execution, including responding to RFIs and resolving engineering queries.
