Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Department Head in planning and executing maintenance for instrumentation devices, sensors, and reviewing automated control programs across all production units, ensuring timely and high-quality implementation.
- Monitor workflow and control panel performance, predicting deviations in instrumentation or panel operation to prevent production stoppages.
- Update automated control programs for equipment, machinery, and electrical/pneumatic circuits according to the approved maintenance schedule
- Maintain records to ensure effective supervision of instrumentation and sensor maintenance activities.
- Analyze faults, issue necessary spare parts from inventory, and prepare daily reports on faults, causes, and downtime.
- Prepare backup instrumentation and sensors for immediate replacement in case of failure.
- Perform quick maintenance with technicians to minimize equipment downtime and prevent production disruption.
- Train departmental technicians to ensure proper performance of their duties while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Follow quality system procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor within the scope of work
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation devices, sensors, and automated control systems
- Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and spare parts management.
- Ability to analyze system performance and prevent production interruptions.
- Experience in supervising and training technical teams.
- Good understanding of quality systems, food safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant maintenance/automation software.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 5 7 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and automation in an industrial or production environment.
