Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Parsons is looking for a Senior Interior Design Engineer / Manager to join our PMC design management team on a one-of-a-kind ultra-luxury development. In this role, you ll be responsible for overseeing the review and technical delivery of world-class interior environments across hospitality, residential, cultural, and lifestyle spaces all aligned with the project s distinctive ultra luxury vision and high-performance standards.
The ideal candidate will independently perform a wide range of conventional and moderately complex ID assignments, applying established design standards, practices, and techniques from a site-based office location reporting to the Design Director.
This role requires discretion and independent judgment in managing original designs, proficiency in standard review methodologies, and a thorough understanding of PMC procedures and technical requirements.
What You ll Be Doing:
Conducts interior design reviews under established design criteria to ensure conformance with the client requirements, ID Look & Feel, basis of design, document standards, constructability, and technical provisions.
Shop drawings and construction technical submission reviews from contractors and procurement agents.
Prepares related reports and documentation covering the PMC scope of works in design, procurement, factory visits, FF&E prototypes, and mock-ups.
Reviews CAD drawings, BIM models, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and material boards prepared by consultant Interior Designers.
You ll coordinate with interior design consultants to ensure delivery of high-quality and fully detailed packages across all design and construction phases.
You ll participate in design reviews, mockup evaluations, and material approval processes at site
You ll support integration of interior design with architecture, MEP, and fit-out teams to ensure design intent is maintained through to delivery.
You ll help manage design changes, value engineering options, and technical challenges in collaboration with stakeholders.
Reviews issues in detailed design, construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications prepared by others.
Interfaces with contractors, supervision consultants and suppliers as required to ensure the project needs are met.
What Required Skills You ll Bring:
Bachelor s degree in interior design or interior architecture (Master s is a plus).
Minimum 15 years of experience with a strong focus on high-end hospitality, residential, or resort projects.
Exceptional design sensibility and technical detailing capabilities.
Familiarity with ultra luxury materials, finishes, client expectations, and international interior design standards.
Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Ability to communicate design ideas clearly and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and client stakeholders.
What Desired Skills You ll Bring:
Experience on ultra-luxury or giga projects in the Middle East is highly preferred.
LEED/WELL or other sustainability-related credentials are a plus.
Understanding of local authority processes, codes, and project delivery in the region.
Luxury fit-out experience, Bespoke FF&E, project & construction management.
Portfolio demonstration of luxury interior projects in the region.
Experience with mockup inspections, factory visits, FF&E prototype reviews, and fit-out coordination is highly advantageous.
