Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We highlight the role of a software developer. Beyond the constantly evolving technological aspects, the software developer fulfills an important role: building our solution by translating the specific professional, product and financial needs of our clients.
Reporting to the R&D Manager, your mission will be to participate in the design and analysis of solutions, applying project management methodologies, under quality assurance.
In this role, you will be responsible, with a high degree of autonomy, for design and development projects and you will be a driving force in proposing technical and functional architecture solutions.
You will be involved in topics that are both highly technical (a wide range of technologies from the Java world) and also highly functional.
In addition to your primary design and development activities, your role will also include:
- To provide technical supervision
- To participate in the improvement of the product, particularly regarding performance and robustness (Management of large volumes of data, low latency)
- To provide support on highly technical issues.
Desired Candidate Profile
Engineering school, Master's degree (BAC + 5) or equivalent
Minimum 5 years in Java development with proven experience in a similar role
Experience in the field of market finance or ideally in the field of Data Management would be an asset
You absolutely must possess advanced technical knowledge of JAVA
Design Pattern
SOAP/REST Web Services
Java Messaging
Application optimizations: Application tuning, profiling, and monitoring
JS stack, HTML, CSS
Web Application servers (Tomcat / JBoss / WebSphere)
DBMS: Oracle or Sybase or SQL Server
OS: Unix and Windows mastered
Motivation for technical challenges
You know how to analyze, design, and develop software with stringent operating constraints (robustness, performance, etc.).
You are capable of working in a team and autonomously depending on the projects proposed.
Rigour, tenacity, autonomy, dynamism, and strong listening and communication skills will give you the means to be effective and progress quickly.
A good command of English (written and spoken) and French is imperative.
