Senior Landscape Architect

The Senior Landscape Architect incumbent is responsible for leading the Architecture department through overseeing projects from inception up to the effective and efficient completion. The Senior Landscape Architect is responsible for applying mathematical and scientific principles to building designs, concentrating on structural demands and functionality while taking into account economic and safety factors. The Senior Landscape Architect must demonstrate creativity, excellent technical ability and knowledge in addition to strong communication and management skills.

• Lead and manage projects from start to finish through well-informed planning, strategic decision making, continuous evaluations and revisions and taking corrective measures in a timely fashion
• Empower and motivate team members for continuous improvement and collaboration among each other and with clients, suppliers and relevant stakeholders
• Carry out regular site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running on time and budget
• Prepare project briefs, conceptually designs various types of projects and work with other team members to prepare the architectural construction drawings and documents
• Perform design and construction management activities during the project s life cycle
• Prepare technical reports, progress reports, special studies and cost estimates for the projects
• Participate equitably in the development and implementation of the division or project goals and objectives
• Strive to achieve organizational goals for diversity and disadvantaged business enterprises participation
• Prepare and deliver presentations to various groups, governmental and private organizations and interest groups as required
• Coordinate architectural design efforts with civil and MEP design and systems
• Prepare tender analysis reports and negotiates with contractors

• Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture
• Master s degree or certifications (PMP, LEED, GreenBuilding etc) are an added value
• 8+ years of experience in an landscape architectural role and project management
• Proficiency in AutoCAD applications- Photoshop- 3D MAX
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Proficiency in the design and construction management principles including CPM scheduling, cost control, change order pricing/negotiation and construction techniques, standards and practices.
