Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize advanced Laravel applications with clean, well-structured, and scalable code. Design and architect backend systems, RESTful APIs, integrations, and high-performance database structures (MySQL). Collaborate closely with product and frontend teams to deliver features efficiently and on schedule. Ensure high application performance, security, and long-term maintainability. Perform detailed code reviews and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently. Write automated tests (PHPUnit / Pest) to ensure reliability and reduce regressions. Contribute to architectural decisions, refactoring legacy code, and improving development workflow. Mentor junior developers and foster a positive engineering culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

6+ years of professional experience in PHP/Laravel development. Strong knowledge of Laravel ecosystem: Eloquent, Queues, Events, Jobs, Middleware, Service Providers, API Resources. Hands-on experience with REST APIs, authentication (Passport/Sanctum), and third-party integrations. Strong understanding of MySQL database design, indexing, optimization, and query performance. Solid experience using Git, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD workflows. Experience with unit testing / feature testing (PHPUnit or Pest). Familiarity with caching (Redis), queues (Redis/Database), and performance optimization. Experience working remotely with excellent communication and time-management skills. Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.

� Nice to Have (Optional) Experience with Vue.js, React, or any frontend framework. Knowledge of Docker or containerized environments. Familiarity with AWS / DigitalOcean / Cloud hosting.
