Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of lawyers, paralegals, and support staff. • Provide structured training, coaching, and professional development programs for junior lawyers, ensuring continuous skill improvement and adherence to best legal practices. • Review legal work produced by junior team members and offer guidance to enhance quality and efficiency. • Manage and oversee complex litigation or corporate matters, ensuring strategic case planning and execution. • Conduct legal research, draft and review contracts, pleadings, and other high-level documents. • Represent clients in court, arbitration hearings, negotiations, and client meetings. • Maintain and enhance client relationships, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness. • Collaborate with partners on firm strategy, workflow improvements, and business development initiatives. • Ensure compliance with UAE Federal Law, ADGM regulations, and other applicable jurisdictions. • Contribute to building the firm’s internal knowledge base and continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree or additional legal qualifications are an advantage. • Minimum 7–10 years of experience practicing law in the UAE within a reputable law firm. • Demonstrated experience as a Team Leader, Senior Associate, or similar senior role. • Strong expertise in one or more areas: Litigation, Corporate/Commercial Law, Arbitration, Banking & Finance, Employment, or Regulatory Compliance. • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory. • Proven ability to train, mentor, and supervise junior lawyers effectively. • Excellent drafting, negotiation, research, and analytical skills. • Ability to manage multiple cases under pressure and maintain high standards of work. • Strong client-relations skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally. • Familiarity with UAE court procedures and/or ADGM regulatory frameworks.
