Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing all local purchasing activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement of MEP-related products such as elevators, escalators, pumps, heavy trucks, and central AC systems. The role ensures supplier performance, cost optimization, and compliance with company procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement local purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
- Supervise and lead the local purchasing team to ensure efficient operations.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local suppliers for the best quality and price.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
- Coordinate closely with the warehouse, logistics, and finance departments to ensure smooth material flow.
- Analyze market trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare regular purchasing reports and performance analysis for management review.
- Support project teams by ensuring timely material availability.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5- 7 years of experience in local procurement, preferably within MEP industries.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Experience with procurement systems (ERP / Oracle preferred).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of local market and suppliers in MEP Sites Needs, Service Centers, Subcontractors
- Strategic thinking and team management abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong English and Arabic communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
