Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for an elite mechanic or technician with a deep, intuitive understanding of high-precision mechanical systems. This is not a traditional management role; it is a hands-on technical expert role.
You will be the primary authority responsible for the performance, maintenance, and quality output of our new double wire binding machines. These machines require constant, minor adjustments and a high level of finesse to operate correctly. The ideal candidate can "think on the fly," diagnose problems based on sound and feel, and has a proven background working in high-tolerance environments (e.g., luxury automotive, high-speed industrial manufacturing). Your core focus will be 100% on the machines: keeping them running perfectly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation & Mastery: Take full ownership of operating the double wire binding production line, learning and mastering every function and adjustment.
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Act as the first and primary responder for all machine issues. Quickly diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational problems using your advanced technical skills.
- Precision Adjustment & Calibration: Be responsible for all machine setups, changeovers, and the constant micro-adjustments required to maintain perfect quality standards.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Develop and execute a rigorous preventive maintenance schedule. Perform all hands-on repairs, from simple fixes to complex component replacements.
- Quality Assurance: Be the guardian of quality. Ensure all products (double wire binding) coming off the line meet our company's high-quality standards by ensuring the machinery is perfectly calibrated.
- Process Optimization: Use your deep mechanical understanding to identify opportunities for improving machine efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing reliability.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: A Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven, hands-on experience as a senior mechanic, maintenance engineer, or high-precision technician.
- Technical Expertise (Essential):
- Demonstrable mastery of complex mechanical systems.
- Proven experience working in high-tolerance environments. i>Candidates with a background in repairing/maintaining German or luxury automobiles, high-speed packaging equipment, or other complex industrial machinery are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Exceptional diagnostic and "on-the-fly" problem-solving skills. You must be able to understand i>why/i> a machine is failing, not just follow a manual.
