The role includes oversight and performance management of offshore contract consultants, ensuring consistent contract standards, timely delivery, quality assurance, and alignment with organizational policies, governance requirements, and stakeholder expectations. Main responsibilities includes:

    Contract Lifecycle Management

    • Manage the full contract lifecycle including drafting, negotiation, execution, amendments, renewals, and close-out in line with UAE Law and internal governance.

    • Ensure timely contract mobilisation and structured handover to the business, including clear definition of obligations, KPIs, and risk controls.

    • Proactively manage contract expiry, extensions, and termination activities to avoid commercial, operational, or compliance risk.

    • Maintain accurate contract records, metadata, and audit trails within the contract management system to support reporting, compliance, and decision-making.

Shared Services Delivery & Offshore Contract Consultant Management

    • Lead the day-to-day delivery of contract services through an offshore consultant model, ensuring capacity planning, workload prioritisation, and adherence to agreed SLAs.

    • Set clear standards, playbooks, and quality controls to ensure consistent outputs across offshore resources and alignment with onshore expectations.

    • Monitor productivity, turnaround times, and quality metrics, addressing performance gaps through coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement actions.

    • Enable effective collaboration between offshore teams, Legal, Procurement, and business stakeholders through clear escalation paths, communication rhythms, and knowledge transfer.

Risk, Compliance & Data Protection (GDPR)

    • Identify and assess contractual and third-party risks (commercial, regulatory, operational, and reputational) and define mitigation strategies in collaboration with Legal, Risk, and Compliance functions.

    • Ensure contracts and supplier engagements adhere to data protection and privacy requirements, including GDPR, confidentiality obligations, and cross-border data transfer controls.

    • Provide governance oversight through risk reviews, compliance checks, and issue escalation, supporting internal audits and regulatory enquiries as required.

    • Promote a strong compliance culture by developing guidance, training, and awareness on contract risk, ethics, and data protection obligations for stakeholders and suppliers

    Business Partnering & Sourcing Alignment

    • Act as a trusted POC for Business Partnering to Procurement and functional stakeholders, providing contract insights to support category strategies and annual sourcing plans.

    • Support sourcing activities with commercial and contractual input, including contracting models, term structures, and renewal vs. re-tender recommendations.

    • Leverage contract performance, expiry pipelines, and market intelligence to identify consolidation, value optimization, and sourcing opportunities.

Contract Performance Insight, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

    • Develop and maintain contract dashboards and management information in collaboration with Data Analytics Team, providing visibility on performance trends, renewals pipeline, value leakage, and risk hotspots.

    • Use data and insights to drive continuous improvement in contracting approaches, templates, negotiation strategies, and operating model effectiveness.

    • Define and track functional KPIs for contract management maturity, efficiency, and value realization within a shared services environment.

    • Lead lessons-learned reviews and embed best practices across contracts, categories, and stakeholder groups.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Procurement or related field; professional certification (CIPS, IACCM or equivalent) preferred.

  • 7+ years’ experience in contract management within complex or shared services environments, with strong exposure to high-value contracts under UAE law.

  • Proven expertise in end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiation, renewals, and close-out.

  • Experience managing offshore or outsourced contract teams and operating within shared services models.

  • Strong knowledge of risk, compliance, and data protection requirements, including GDPR.

  • Ability to partner with Procurement and business stakeholders to support sourcing strategies and value optimisation.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, analytical capability, attention to detail, and strong communication and negotiation skills.
