Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical investigations, including site assessments, soil sampling, and laboratory testing to determine soil properties.
- Develop and oversee geotechnical engineering analyses, including slope stability, foundation design, and earth retention systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and civil engineers to ensure that geotechnical considerations are integrated into project designs.
- Review and approve geotechnical reports and design calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Manage relationships with external geotechnical consultants and contractors, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
- Monitor construction activities related to geotechnical works, providing expert guidance and recommendations as required.
- Implement risk assessment processes to identify and mitigate geotechnical risks during the project lifecycle.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to project teams regarding geotechnical challenges.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in geotechnical engineering.
- Contribute to the development of a knowledge base to enhance Qiddiya s geotechnical engineering capabilities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in managing geotechnical investigations and analyses, with experience in foundation design and ground improvement techniques.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical software and tools for analysis and design.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in project management and familiarity with quality assurance processes.
- Registered professional engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is preferred.
