Roles & Responsibilities

He/she will be responsible for managing the team who are responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate and timely regulatory reports, ensuring full compliance with SAMA s requirements. Regulatory Relations Senior Manager is responsible to review all submissions to SAMA and ensure completeness and accuracy.

A key aspect of this role is maintaining a high level of precision in reporting. He/she will be proactive in staying abreast of regulatory changes and have the ability to effectively communicate complex regulatory matters to both internal teams and external regulatory bodies.

  • Act as the bank ONLY-channel to manage the relationship with SAMA including communications, submissions, reporting and meetings.
  • Work to solve (in spot) any potential risk that might affect relationship with SAMA.
  • Supervising the team of Regulatory Relations and sets clear KPIs for the team performance.
  • Managing the team of Regulatory Relations who are responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate and timely regulatory reports, ensuring full compliance with SAMA s requirements.
  • Review all submissions to SAMA and ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Report to the CCO about all SAMA related activities.
  • Attending all meetings with SAMA and represent the bank on-behalf of CCO as requested.
  • Develop and execute regulatory strategies and plans to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable steps for the organization.
  • Manage all regulatory correspondence, initiation, responses, and follow-ups, with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and act as the primary point of contact during inspections, audits, and regulatory agency interactions.
  • Gathering Compliance information to prepare different internal and external, periodical reports to SAMA, facilitating the compliance systems enhancements as needed to help meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage on handling the preparation of the Compliance annual report liaising with all compliance stakeholders.
  • Maintains current knowledge of regulations applicable to the company.
  • Perform any other duties assigned to by line manager related to the nature of the work
  • Enforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence and vigilance, within departmental/unit activities and operations.

The role plays a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards. This position involves developing and executing comprehensive regulatory mandates, working closely with cross-functional teams, and managing all regulatory reporting obligations to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).

  • A tertiary-level qualification from a recognized institution Business Administration or related field required/li>

  • Recommended 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience where required competencies and experience has been demonstrated/li>
  • Ability to inform and guide managers and department heads on regulations and polices that require compliance./li>
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously./li>
  • Proficient in using regulatory databases and software applications to track and manage regulatory submissions and documents./li>
  • Excellent strategic planning skills./li>
