Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Marketing Manager, Events & Exhibitions, will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive attendance, participation, and revenue for the company's portfolio of events, exhibitions, and conferences. This role plays a critical part in enhancing brand visibility, engaging target audiences, and achieving ambitious business objectives within the dynamic events industry. The incumbent will lead a team of marketing professionals, manage budgets, and ensure a strong return on investment for all marketing activities


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies and campaigns for a diverse portfolio of events and exhibitions, aligning with overall business goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the entire marketing lifecycle from conceptualization to post-event analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and content teams to ensure seamless execution and integrated campaigns.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing professionals (e.g., Marketing Executives, Specialists).
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets for individual events and the department as a whole, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on key marketing metrics, campaign performance, and ROI.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing collateral and channels for events.
  • Oversee the development of compelling marketing content, including website copy, email campaigns, social media content, press releases, and promotional materials.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, media partners, and suppliers.
  • Drive digital marketing initiatives, including SEO/SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns.
  • Optimize website performance and user experience for event registration and information dissemination.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Master’s degree in marketing or a relevant field is preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 4-5 years in a senior marketing role within the events, exhibitions, conference, or a related industry (e.g., hospitality, media, B2B marketing with a strong events focus).
  • Proven track record of successfully planning, executing, and measuring large-scale marketing campaigns for events.
  • Experience in managing and leading a marketing team.
  • Demonstrable experience in budget management and ROI analysis
