Expected:
- Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional certifications in commissioning or project management (preferred).
- Minimum 10 15 years of experience in oil & gas EPC/EPCM projects.
- At least 5+ years in a senior commissioning role.
- Extensive experience in gas processing plants, LNG, or similar facilities.
- Prior experience on ADNOC projects is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Rotating equipment commissioning
- Static equipment and piping systems
- International codes (API, ASME, ISO)
- Familiarity with:
- Commissioning tools (ICAPS, Completions Management Systems)
- Mechanical testing procedures and standards
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication with multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced project environment
Commissioning Execution
- Lead mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for rotating and static equipment (e.g., compressors, pumps, turbines, vessels, heat exchangers).
- Review and approve commissioning procedures, method statements, and checklists.
- Ensure systems are mechanically complete and ready for commissioning (MC status verification).
- Coordinate with construction teams for system handover and punch list clearance.
System Completion & Handover
- Manage Mechanical Completion (MC), Ready for Commissioning (RFC), Ready for Start-Up (RFSU), and handover dossiers.
- Ensure proper documentation and certification aligned with ADNOC and project requirements.
- Participate in system walkdowns and punch list categorization (A/B/C).
Testing & Start-up Support
- Supervise equipment testing including:
- Alignment, flushing, cleaning, leak testing
- Dry/wet commissioning activities
- Performance and functional testing
- Support initial startup, troubleshooting, and stabilization of mechanical systems.
Coordination & Interface
- Interface with:
- Process, Electrical, and Instrumentation commissioning teams
- EPC contractors and vendors
- Operations and maintenance teams
- Coordinate vendor representatives during critical commissioning activities.
HSE Compliance
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with ADNOC HSE standards and PTW (Permit to Work) systems.
- Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and ensure safe execution of all activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure zero LTI incidents.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly commissioning progress reports.
- Maintain commissioning records, logs, and test results.
- Ensure red-line markups and as-built documentation are completed.
