Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team, with a strong background in heavy equipment used in soil improvement and piling operations, such as cranes, vibro compaction machines, piling rigs, and other construction machinery. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, and knowledge of fabrication and design software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy machinery including cranes, excavators, vibroflots, and piling rigs
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for machinery selection, modification, and site mobilization
- Use SOLIDWORKS and similar tools for mechanical design, simulation, and equipment improvement
- Provide technical support on fabrication processes, ensuring all requirements are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in field and workshop settings
- Maintain records, track equipment performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Support training and supervision of mechanical technicians
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Power specialization preferred)
- 5–7 years of experience in heavy equipment within the construction or contracting industry
- Strong knowledge of cranes, piling rigs, excavators, and other soil improvement machinery
- Proficient in SOLIDWORKS design and simulation
- Sound understanding of fabrication processes and production requirements
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- CMRP(Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) is a plus
- Experience in soil improvement techniques is an added advantage
- Strong communication and reporting skills; ability to work independently and within a team
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
