Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
manage the mechanical design team, coordination, and delivery of major infrastructure and building projects, including underground structures, metro stations, tunnels, and large-scale facilities.
Oversee HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and tunnel ventilation systems to ensure design quality, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
Provide technical direction and design strategy to ensure integration with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines.
Review and validate mechanical calculations, design reports, and equipment selections, ensuring constructability and alignment with project specifications.
Coordinate closely with clients, authorities, and contractors to clarify technical requirements, resolve design issues, and support approvals.
Ensure compliance with international and local codes and standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, BS, EN, SBC, etc.).
Drive value engineering and energy efficiency across the design process.
Manage and mentor mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical excellence.
Contribute to project planning, reporting, and delivery tracking, ensuring timely submission of coordinated design packages.

Strong leadership in managing mechanical design team
Deliverables across complex projects such as metro stations, tunnels, airports, industrial facilities and large mixed-use developments.
Balance of technical depth, multidisciplinary coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Candidates with exposure to infrastructure and transportation projects (such as railways or airports) or experience working on GCC-based projects will be given preference.
