Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage mechanical engineering activities on building construction projects including HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and drainage systems.
  • Review and finalize mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes.
  • Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure installation works are executed as per approved drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor progress of mechanical works and assist in preparing work schedules, resource plans, and progress reports.
  • Identify technical issues and propose effective, practical engineering solutions.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
  • Ensure adherence to local authority regulations (e.g., Qatar Civil Defense, Kahramaa, Ashghal, etc., if in Qatar)

Desired Candidate Profile

Sr. Mechanical Engineer

  • BSc. Mechanical
  • +15 years of experience
  • UPDA : Grade A
  • BIM Capability is Mandatory (EIR-PWA)
  • Consultant Experience
  • Buildings Experience
  • Previous Approval from PWA is preferable
  • Duration: 12 Months (Extendable)
