Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a major 400-bed hospital project in Iraq.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all mechanical works throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Lead site execution activities and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and schedules.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities.
- Support procurement planning and material delivery schedules.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in large-scale projects.
- Previous experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, hotels, airports, or complex buildings is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- HVAC Systems
- Chilled Water Systems
- Chillers, AHUs & FCUs
- Ventilation & Smoke Management Systems
- Medical Gas Systems
- Plumbing & Drainage Systems
- Fire Fighting Systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
