Overview
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead and oversee mechanical engineering activities within the Facilities Management (FM) field. This role ensures the design, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems meet industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory compliance. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Your role
- Design, review, and approve mechanical systems for HVAC, plumbing, and other building services.
- Supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and energy efficiency assessments.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and sustainability guidelines.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, and reports.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues promptly.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
About you
- Education: BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification: Certified Facility Manager (CFM) Certificate is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar position within the Facilities Management field.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and building services.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering design tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
